When Julia Smith was diagnosed with a rare bleeding disorder as an infant, her mother, Helen, went on a search for answers… and a cure. Helen Smith founded the Glanzmann’s Research Foundation. She has since been honored in the CSRA with the Giving Your Best Award, and on a national level with the Jefferson Award. But at the center of all her work is her daughter, and her determination to give Julia a healthy life. Helen and Julia sat down with Brad Means to talk about their journey and the possibilities on the horizon.
